This will be a joint initiative between qualified ACLS/BLS instructors and working PACU nurses utilizing skills and immersion scenarios with an emphasis on team work skills and crisis management.
This is a chance to refresh your BLS/ACLS skills and engage with other nurses from around the country to improve nursing practice and confidence.
At the end of the course, participants should be able to discuss a structured approach to initial management of critical airway/CVS events and verbalise teamwork behaviours they can implement in their work place.
In order for participants to gain the most benefit and to achieve the assessment standards of the course, it is essential the online course readings are completed prior to the course.

Registration closing date is four weeks prior to course commencement date.
The course will be held at Simulation Centre for Patient Safety, University of Auckland Grafton Campus, Bldg 502 Level B, 85 Park Road, Grafton, Auckland 1023.
Please note: a minimum of 10 participants is required for the course. In the event of less than 10 participants the course may be deferred or cancelled.
